Another background sitting on my art table drying, waiting to be used for…?? Who knows what. This is kind of a terrible photo, but what can I say, we don’t have too much lighting in here yet. I was really in the mood to draw tonight, but ended up just making a big mess instead. It felt good. And now I’m going to go eat a twix bar right before bed. Yum.
I like this background a LOT. My kind of colours.
Thank you, Hashi! Glad you like it. These are somewhat new colors for me (I usually tend toward autumn shades), and I’ve really been enjoying them. If you are interested in making your own, I generally followed Misty Mawn’s technique in the current issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors. I used Golden acrylics in cobalt teal blue, titanium white, and hansa yellow, as well as folk art craft acrylics in baby blue and kiwi. I used a turquoise portfolio water-soluble pastel around the edge of the canvas. Still haven’t done anything with it yet, but I will someday! 🙂
